2. Quality Management Architecture & In-House Testing Gates
Every production run is executed under an audited 6M quality management methodology (Man, Machine, Material, Method, Environment, Measurement) certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Prior to warehouse release, every production batch is evaluated across seven core testing gates in our on-site physical and microbiology testing laboratory:
| Testing Gate | Standard Test Method | Key Quality Parameter | Acceptance Standard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grammage Consistency | ISO 536 / GB/T 451.2 | Basis weight uniformity across web | ± 5.0% of nominal target (inline SCANTECH gauge verified) |
| Breathability (WVTR) | ASTM E96 / GB/T 1037 | Water vapour transmission rate | ± 10% nominal; zero liquid water penetration at 150 mbar |
| Tensile Strength (MD / CD) | ASTM D882 / GB/T 1040.3 | Peak load and elongation at break | ≥ 90% nominal tensile rating; MD elongation ≥ 120% |
| Compounding Purity | Internal Oven / Muffle Furnace | Calcium carbonate moisture content | Moisture < 0.20%; mean CaCO&sub3; particle size 2.5 µm |
| Surface Dyne Retention | ASTM D2578 / Dyne Pens | Corona treatment surface energy | ≥ 38 dynes/cm upon container departure from port |
| Print Adhesion & Odour | 3M Tape Test / Headspace GC | Water-based reverse printing adhesion | Zero ink transfer; zero residual VOC solvent odour |
| Paper Core Integrity | GB/T 22906.5 / Radial Press | 3.0-inch reinforced core crush resistance | ≥ 4.0 kN/m radial strength; core ID 76.0 mm (+1.0 / -0 mm) |
An individualized Certificate of Analysis (COA) documenting batch test results is generated by our quality control department and provided with each commercial export shipment.
3. Product Shelf Life & Storage Conditions
To maintain optimal web tension, mechanical elongation, and converting stability on high-speed diaper and feminine care lines, products must be stored under controlled warehousing conditions:
- Guaranteed Usable Shelf Life: Twelve (12) months from the production date for plain cast and microporous breathable PE films. Nine (9) months from the production date for corona-treated and printed backsheet films, due to natural surface energy decay over time.
- Temperature & Humidity Control: Rolls must be stored indoors within clean, well-ventilated warehouses maintained at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F) and relative humidity between 40% and 70%.
- Environmental Protection: Rolls must remain wrapped in their original moisture-barrier protective packaging, suspended on end-boards, and shielded from direct sunlight, UV exposure, rain, and floor dampness.
- Stacking & Handling: Do not stack rolls horizontally without end-board cradles to avoid core deformation and flat spots. Pallets should not be double-stacked unless certified rigid racking is utilized.
4. Warranty Coverage & Performance Assurances
Seller warrants that upon receipt at destination port and during the warranty validity period, roll goods shall satisfy the following performance criteria:
- Converting Runnability: Consistent web flatness and balanced cross-direction thickness profile to prevent web weaving, wrinkling, or edge curl at high line speeds (≥ 400 m/min).
- Skin-Contact Purity: Formulated using food-contact grade imported polyethylene and medical-purity calcium carbonate certified under OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Class I for infant contact safety, free from phthalates, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and banned fluorinated substances (PFAS).
- Splice Tagging: Continuous rolls contain a maximum of one (1) splice per finished roll. Any joint is spliced with high-tack tape and marked with clear side-flag warning markers for optical sensor detection.
- Roll Winding Uniformity: Uniform roll hardness across the face width with telescoping or dishing not exceeding ± 2.0 mm from the core edge.
5. Defect Notification & 5-Step Claim Procedure
If Buyer discovers roll goods that do not conform to mutually agreed technical parameters or visual quality standards, the following structured 5-step claim protocol must be initiated:
- Step 1 — Immediate Notice: Submit written notification to Seller’s account representative within thirty (30) calendar days of cargo arrival at Buyer’s converting facility or warehouse.
- Step 2 — Evidence Dossier: Transmit roll barcode numbers, lot numbers, digital photographs/video recordings documenting the line defect, converting machine speed logs, and environmental storage conditions.
- Step 3 — Sample Exchange: Provide representative 2-meter physical sample cut-outs across the full web width showing the non-conformity, dispatched via express courier to Seller’s testing lab.
- Step 4 — Dual-Lab Retainer Verification: Seller cross-evaluates the submitted sample against physical archive retainers stored under identical lot codes in our 24-month sample vault to confirm root cause.
- Step 5 — 8D Corrective Action Report: Within three (3) working days of receiving physical defect samples, Seller provides a formal 8D containment and root-cause analysis report detailing permanent corrective measures.
6. Commercial Remedies & Settlement Options
Upon mutual verification that a defect is attributable to Seller’s raw material compounding, extrusion gauge control, printing registration, or factory slitting, Seller will promptly execute one of the following remediation options at Buyer’s election:
- Expedited Roll Replacement: Manufacture and dispatch an equivalent quantity of compliant replacement rolls on the earliest available vessel departure or via expedited air freight for critical line stoppages, at Seller’s sole expense.
- Commercial Credit Note: Issue an immediate credit note equal to the net invoiced commercial value of the rejected roll volume, applied against Buyer’s next scheduled order or open balance.
- Agreed Salvage Allowance: If non-conforming film can be repurposed on slower converting lines or non-critical secondary goods, a mutually negotiated percentage discount may be credited to Buyer.
7. Exclusions & Limitation of Liability
This Quality Warranty provides comprehensive manufacturing protection but excludes liabilities resulting from external operational factors beyond Seller’s direct manufacturing control:
- Converting Machine Mismatch: Web tension misconfiguration, worn or unground rubber nip rollers, static bar malfunctions, or adhesive open-time mismatches on Buyer converting equipment.
- Improper Storage & Handling: Direct rainwater contact, prolonged storage exceeding recommended shelf life, outdoor container exposure exceeding 45°C, or pallet forklift punctures.
- Normal Corona Decay: Inevitable loss of surface dyne energy occurring after six (6) months of storage under non-climate-controlled environments.
- Secondary Unauthorized Processing: Goods subjected to unauthorized third-party slitting, re-winding, off-line Corona re-treatment, or chemical lamination coating.
- Cap on Cumulative Liability: Seller’s aggregate financial liability under this warranty shall in no event exceed the net invoice value of the specific defective roll lot. Seller expressly excludes liability for lost factory profits, converter line idle-time costs, end-product recall expenses, or consequential damages.
8. Retained Sample Traceability System
To guarantee full transparency, our quality assurance department operates an automated physical and digital sample archive. Every extruded master jumbo roll and slitted roll lot is cataloged:
- 24-Month Climate-Controlled Archive: Physical master retainers from every slitted roll lot are logged and stored in our climate-controlled sample vault for twenty-four (24) months.
- Digital Machine Log Retention: Extrusion temperatures, SCANTECH inline thickness profiles, corona voltage readings, and raw material lot numbers are stored on secure servers for seven (7) years.
- Barcode Verification: Every shipping roll features a scannable barcode label containing extruder line number, operator ID, slitting station, gross weight, net weight, and exact roll linear length.
